- How long have you known Mark?30 years
- Three words to describe Mark: faithful, emotional, a thinker
- If Mark created a nickname for you, what is it and where did it come from?
I don't think Mark has ever nicknamed me. ha
- Funny memory with Mark:
So..... a lot of times when Mark and I laugh at funny memories they involve the holidays and crazy family dynamics. One memory is when Mark did the prayer and he said Lord you are awesome, you are huge.... Please don't squash us. hahahahah Love it. One of my favorite times is when Matt and I came to visit you and Chris and we went to your lake house and we sat in the lake on noodles and talked and talked. I remember when you came to Michigan while we were on vacation up there and you had just started dating Chris and you were on phone with her a lot. hahahah I remember when we went to your parents place in Indiana and spent July 4 there with you and set off a lot of fireworks. You were a fun Uncle to our kids when they were little. I LOVED when we used to all go to El Matadors and drink Margs with your mom. That was so fun and I truly fell in love with your family. The good 'ol days. I remember when we used to stay up late and play cards with everyone.... Phase 10 was always fun. I could go on and on.... we have 30 years together.
- How has Mark impacted your life?
Mark has taught me a lot about grace. He says I show grace often, however there have been times when I haven't and I always remember something he said to me.....
He said "Vic, people have a past and that has made them who they are today. You don't know what has happened to them in the past and it definitely impacts how they are today". Also, his faith and his relationship with God is amazing. He is someone I definitely look up to and admire for his faith.
- What do you think Mark’s legacy will be? What is his lasting imprint on the world?
One day when Jackson and Cooper are older and get married their wives will definitely thank you for raising such caring and faithful men. You have been a great role model for them of what a devoted husband looks like and how an involved father acts. I thank your mom for Matt still. She raised some amazing boys. 🙂
- Anything else you’d like to say to wish Mark Happy 50th Birthday!
