  • How long have you known Mark?4 years
  • Three words to describe Mark: Integrity, honorable and motivationg
  • If Mark created a nickname for you, what is it and where did it come from?

    Tommy E
I don't think that he's been able to find something to make fun of yet 🙂 so he's settled on this boring moniker.

  • Funny memory with Mark:

At our last lake trip Mark asked me to drive the boat and pull Tony Marchetti in the tube. Mark had been serving everyone by driving the boat the entire time by gently pulling us on the tube with simple glee. However when he gave me the wheel I regretfully did not possess the same discipline to provide Tony with a comfortable ride through the calm Lake Martin waters. I hit a rather large wave that Tony was not prepared for and he went sailing into heaven with his arms spread wide like Jesus. Yes, he did eventually come down and I felt terrible. However when I saw that he was OK I could not stop laughing at the site to the mild chagrin of both Tony and Mark.

  • How has Mark impacted your life?

Mark changed the dynamic of men's small groups at Buckhead Church. He is a leader and is becoming a better leader as time goes on. I am proud to call him my friend and thankful that he challenges me to grow as a man and leader.
Thank you Mark for your friendship and for your model.

  • What do you think Mark’s legacy will be? What is his lasting imprint on the world?

His first legacy will be to his wife. Mark is showing men how to lead a family through loving devotion to his wife. Mark's second legacy will be to his children. Every time I eat at his house I get to witness his boys growing up in knowledge and character. His third legacy will be to his men's group leaders. In my opinion the strength of Northpoint will run through the servant leadership of the men that Mark leads. By serving these men Mark models real and lasting servant leadership that will have generational impact.

  • Anything else you’d like to say to wish Mark Happy 50th Birthday!

Happy Birthday my friend and I look forward to celebrating many decades more with you.
